Compared to the previous month, the volume of sales in retail trade, excluding fuels, has increased by 11.7% in March 2024.

As far as major sectors are concerned, we register an increase of 11.2% for the retail sale in non-specialised stores with food, beverages or tobacco predominating, of 13.2% for the retail sale of other goods in specialised stores, of 11.6% for other household equipment in specialised stores, of 5.2% for automotive fuel in specialised stores and of 26.8% for textiles, clothing, footwear and leather goods in specialised stores.

Retail trade registered a decrease in its volume compared to March 2023

Compared to March 2023, the volume of sales in retail trade, excluding fuels, has decreased by 5.3%.

In the major trade sectors, we register a decrease of 8.7% for the retail sale in non-specialised stores with food, beverages or tobacco predominating, of 6.2% for other household equipment in specialised stores, of 0.4% for other goods in specialised stores, of 0.3% for automotive fuel in specialised stores and of 0.5% for textiles, clothing, footwear and leather goods in specialised stores.
