According to the Public Employment Service, there were 1,091,088 people who were officially unemployed in January, down from 1,112,551 in January 2022 (down 1.93%) and 1,084,440 in December 2022 (up 0.61%). More precisely, there were 1,086,085 registered job seekers in January, of whom 535,933 (49.35%) were long-term unemployed. Men made up 36.37% of the officially listed unemployed, while women made up 63.63%.
