Minimum Wage for 2023 is Net 8.500 TL in Türkiye; Total cost to the employer is 11.750 TL

The Minimum Wage for 2023 was announced as 8,506,80 TL in Türkiye.

The rate of increase in the minimum wage of 5,500,35 TL applied between July 2022 and December was 54.66%.
The amount of the increase made to the minimum wage of 5,500.35 TL, which was applied between July 2022 and December, was 3,006.45 TL.

Ergün Atalay, Chairman of the Workers’ representative of Türk-İş Union was not present at the table where the 2023 Minimum Wage was announced.
New Gross Minimum Wage is 10,008 TL
The cost to the employer is 11,759.40 TL. (1,501,20 TL Worker’s Share, 1,751.40 TL Employer’s Share = 3,252,60 TL Social Security and Unemployment Insurance Premium)
TOTAL Insurance and Unemployment Insurance Premium to be paid for minimum wage earners are 3,252.60 TL (11,750 TL x 32.5%) with a 5-point payment discount on due date.
Net Minimum wage applied in previous years:
2021 – 2,825 TL
2022 – 4.253 TL (January-June)
2022 – 5.500 TL (July-December)
