According to Statistics Norway statistics, the output of electricity, gas, and steam all decreased significantly at the beginning of the year in Norway.

In January, industrial output decreased 8.3 percent from the previous month after seasonally adjusting. The decrease of 0.2 percent the month before was much less severe than this one.

In January, the production of energy, gas, and steam declined by 8.6 percent each month. Production in the extraction industry and associated industries increased by 3.3%.

After declining by 0.8 percent the month before, manufacturing production increased by 0.9 percent in January. Production increase for mining and quarries accelerated to 9.0 percent.

Industrial production fell 6.6 percent annually in January after staying unchanged in December.
