According to the Information and Communication Technologies Authority’s (BTK) quarterly report, the combined net sales revenues of the communications sector climbed by 32 percent from a year earlier to total 29.2 billion Turkish Liras.

As of June, there were 459 businesses engaged in the sector.

Turkcell, Türk Telekom, Vodafone, and TT Mobil, the market’s four main participants, saw their revenues rise from 16 billion liras in April–June 2021 to 21.4 billion liras in the second quarter of this year, while those of other companies in the industry increased from 6 billion to 7.86 billion liras.

The combined sales of all four businesses increased from 57.6 billion to 67.2 billion in 2021.

The four largest firms invested a total of 4 billion liras in the second quarter of 2022, while other communications companies invested 1.8 billion liras.

As of the end of June, there were 88.5 million mobile phone customers in the nation, and Turkey ranked top in Europe for mobile phone usage in the second quarter with calls averaging 560 minutes per month.
