According to the revised estimates, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices in 2021 amounted to 60 003.3 million GEL, up by 21.8 percent YoY. In 2021 the real GDP increased by 10.5 percent. In 2021 GDP deflator percentage change equaled 10.3 percent YoY.

The largest shares of GDP by activity are held by Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (15.4 percent) and Manufacturing (11.3 percent), followed by Real estate
activities (10.2 percent), Construction (7.5 percent), Agriculture, forestry and fishing (7.4 percent), Public administration and defence; compulsory social security (6.5 percent), Transportation and storage (6.3 percent), Financial and insurance activities (5.2 percent), Human health and social work activities (4.8 percent), and Education (4.7 percent).

In 2021, real growth was registered in Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (12.4 percent), Transportation and storage (28.9 percent), Arts, entertainment and recreation (47.2 percent), Human health and social work activities (29.3 percent), Financial and insurance activities (21.2 percent), Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (44.4 percent), Real estate activities (8.7 percent), Information and communication (30.1 percent), Accommodation and food service activities (34.0 percent).

A decrease was recorded in Construction (-23.9 percent).
