While the registered employment rate of bachelor’s graduates was 75.6% in 2023, this rate was 75.0% in 2024. While the registered employment rate for associate degree graduates was 67.7% in 2023, this rate was calculated as 66.4% in 2024.
Bachelor’s degree programme with the highest registered employment rate was medicine with 96.4%
The programmes with the highest registered employment rate at the bachelor’s degree level were; medicine (96.4%), special education teaching (95.1%), electrical teaching (92.4%), speech and language therapy (91.9%) and electronics teaching (91.9%).

Bachelor’s degree field with the highest registered employment rate was health and welfare with 86.7%
According to the International Standard Classification of Education: Fields of Education and Training 2013 (ISCED-F 2013), the first five fields with the highest registered employment rate for bachelor’s graduates were; health and welfare (86.7%), engineering, manufacturing and construction (82.9%), information and communication technologies (78.7%), education (77.6%) and agriculture, forestry, fisheries and veterinary (74.6%).
Associate degree programme with the highest registered employment rate was police vocational training with 92.3%
The programmes with the highest registered employment rate at the associate degree level were police vocational training (92.3%), generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy (88.2%), industrial die sinking (87.4%), metallurgy (85.2%) and natural gas and pipeline technology (84.5%).

According to the fields of education and training, the first five fields with the highest registered employment rate for associate degree graduates were; engineering, manufacturing and construction (76.9%), natural sciences, mathematics and statistics (71.0%), services (70.7%), information and communication technologies (69.1%) and agriculture, forestry, fisheries and veterinary (68.6%).
Average duration for the first job was 14.4 months for bachelor’s degree graduates
While the average duration for the first job for bachelor’s degree graduates was 14.4 months in 2024, it remained the same as in the previous year. While average duration for the first job for associate degree graduates was 15.9 months in 2023, it was calculated as 16.0 months in 2024.

Five bachelor’s degree programmes with the shortest duration for the first job after graduation were; speech and language therapy (2.2 months), medicine (4.1 months), special education teaching (4.3 months), pharmacy (5.1 months) and midwifery (7.6 months).

Considering the associate degree graduation fields, first five education and training fields with the shortest duration for finding the first job was; services (13.7 months), natural sciences, mathematics and statistics (13.9 months), engineering, manufacturing and construction (14.5 months), health and welfare (15.5 months), and information and communication technologies (16.2 months).
Bachelor’s degree programme with the highest average earnings was flight training
When the earnings status of bachelor’s degree graduates was examined, five programmes with the highest average monthly earnings were; flight training, mathematical engineering, aerospace engineering, medicine and aircraft engineering.

When the earnings status of associate degree graduates was examined, five programmes with the highest average monthly earnings were; police vocational training, aircraft technology, retailing and store management, brand communication and generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy.
Rate of bachelor’s degree graduates employed in their field reached 56.1%
While the employment alignment for paid employed bachelor’s degree graduates was 55.6% in 2023, this rate was 56.1% in 2024. While the employment alignment for paid employed associate degree graduates was 51.5% in 2023, this rate was calculated as 51.0% in 2024.
Rate of health and welfare bachelor’s degree graduates employed in their field reached 79.9%
Top five fields with the highest employment alignment for paid employed bachelor’s degree graduates were health and welfare (79.9%), business, administration and law (79.4%), education (63.8%), engineering, manufacturing and construction (63.7%), and information and communication technologies (56.8%). Lowest alignment was observed in the field of social sciences, journalism and information (20.1%).

The top five fields with the highest employment alignment for paid employed associate degree graduates were business, management, and law (64.8%), engineering, manufacturing, and construction (60.0%), services (59.1%), health and welfare (44.5%), and natural sciences, mathematics, and statistics (44.0%). The lowest alignment was observed in the field of social sciences, journalism, and information at 8.0%.

EXPLANATIONS
Registered employment rates, duration for finding the first jobs, monthly average earnings and rate of alignment in an occupation group in line with the fields of graduation of individuals were calculated; based on the Education-Labour Force Database study, established by matching administrative registers in an integrated database; for the individuals who graduated from a higher education programme in Türkiye at bachelor’s or associate degree levels within the years 2014-2023 and registered in the Address Based Population Registration System (ABPRS) in 2024.
Unemployment is not the only reason for not being in registered employment. Possibilities such as being in education (especially postgraduate or doctorate), unregistered employment, not seeking a job and being registered in ABPRS but actually being abroad are also among the reasons other than unemployment.
