The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Greece fell to 8.1% in August 2025 from 8.3% in the previous month. This marked the lowest jobless rate since November 2008, as the number of unemployed individuals decreased by 11.5 thousand from a month earlier to 383.8 thousand. At the same time, employment dropped by 2.3 thousand to 4.337 million in August. Meanwhile, the number of people outside the labour force rose by 11.6 thousand to 3.025 million.
