Artificial Intelligence Statistics in Türkiye, 2025
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to technologies that simulate human cognitive processes such as thinking, learning, and decision-making by means of computer systems. Data on this technology, which is increasingly used in daily life and the business world, is presented as official statistics for the first time in this press release. The Artificial Intelligence Statistics press release is based on the results of the Survey on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Usage in Enterprises and the Survey on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Usage in Households and by Individuals. Detailed information on the methodology of the studies is published in the appendix of the press release and in the metadata section.
To provide insights into how AI technologies are used in enterprises and by individuals and to monitor developments in this field, the Survey on ICT Usage in Enterprises has been collecting annual data regarding the use of AI in enterprises with 10 or more employees since 2021. The Survey on ICT Usage in Households and by Individuals obtained data on generative AI use among individuals aged 16-74 for the first time in 2025.

Examples include content-generating AI applications, chatbots and virtual assistants, facial or speech recognition systems, machine learning-based data analytics, autonomous robots used in warehouse automation, and autonomous drones used for package handling. For individuals, AI use refers to the conscious and deliberate use of generative AI tools to create content. This content can be in various formats, such as text, images, software code, video, music, and more.
