Maximum production and delivery were in lignite

Marketable production of solid fuels was 111 thousand 377 tonnes for hard coal, 6 million 491 thousand 580 tonnes for lignite⁽¹⁾ and 375 thousand 453 tonnes for coke derived from hard coal in May 2018. For the same month, deliveries⁽²⁾ were 2 million 687 thousand 330 tonnes for hard coal, 6 million 624 thousand 789 tonnes for lignite and 460 thousand 805 tonnes for coke derived from hard coal.

Hard coal and lignite were delivered mostly to the thermal power plants

Distribution of solid fuels according to breakdown of main delivery places was 50.2% to thermal power plants, 22.9% to coking plants, 8.1% to industry (except iron and steel industry) for hard coal whereas, 89.7% to thermal power plants, 5.9% to industry (except iron and steel industry) for lignite and 97.5% to iron and steel industry for coke derived from hard coal.
