Remarks
From April 2024, data on order calculated from declared VAT data to the Swedish Tax Agency is used for small and medium-sized enterprises in industrial industries (SNI 07–33). The change is introduced with the ambition to increase quality and streamline the production of functional statistics that describe individual activities in the economy, such as orders in industry. When the new method is introduced, the statistics on orders in industry will be revised as far back in time as possible. In the Statistical Database, values for the periods April 2018 to March 2024 have been revised.
When the reference month January 2024 was published, the base year was changed to 2021. This means that the average of the monthly indices in 2021 is 100 (index 2021=100).
For a more comprehensive understanding of the statistics, it is relevant to analyse the effects of seasonal and calendar adjustments on the statistics. Please note that data series are seasonally adjusted individually. This means that a seasonally adjusted figure for an aggregate may differ from a weighted mean of the corresponding figures for included sectors.
